New Member Press Release

NSW Certified Cleaning Service Joins ISSA, the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association

Dubbo, NSW—November 17, 2025 — NSW Certified Cleaning Service today announced it has joined ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association. Membership in ISSA represents a dedication to education, networking, and professionalism. NSW Certified Cleaning Service joins more than 10,500 other ISSA members, including building service contractors, manufacturers, distributors, in-house service providers, and more.

“We are thrilled to welcome NSW Certified Cleaning Service to ISSA,” said ISSA Executive Director John Barrett. “Membership in the association demonstrates an organization’s commitment to human health through proper cleaning, disinfection, and infection prevention. ”ISSA is the only organization to advocate for the interests of the entire cleaning supply chain. Its divisions include the Association of Residential Cleaning Services International (ARCSI), the Global Bio risk Advisory Council™ (GBAC), the Indoor Environmental Healthcare and Hospitality Association (IEHA), the Independent Office Products and Furniture Dealers Association, the Canadian Healthcare Housekeepers Association (HHA), the Specialised Restoration & Cleaning Professionals (SRCP), the American Association of Cleaning Equipment Manufacturers (AACEM), and the U.K. Industrial Cleaning Machine Manufacturers Association (ICMMA).

ISSA sets recognized industry standards, including the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS), and provides resources, training, certifications, events, and more. This enables residential, commercial, and industrial cleaning organizations to enhance recruitment and retention, performance, sustainability, and safety, and in turn customer service and satisfaction.

Why I Joined ISSA — and Why It Matters for My Clients

In Australia, there are no official national cleaning standards for residential or NDIS cleaning. Most cleaners simply follow whatever methods are commonly used in the industry.

I chose to take a different path.

I’ve now joined ISSA — the International Cleaning Industry Association — so I can follow internationally recognised best-practice standards, product safety, WHS guidelines, and professional processes that go far beyond what is normally used in Australia.

This makes me one of the first residential/NDIS-focused cleaners in Australia to align my work with global standards, not just local habits.

For my clients, this means:

  • A higher level of professionalism

  • Safer, compliant cleaning practices

  • Consistent quality you can trust

  • Accountability backed by an international governing body

I believe our community deserves world-class cleaning — and I’m committed to delivering exactly that
